Description
The measurement principle is based on the regular vortex in the downstream of the retaining body, i.e. "vortex street phenomenon", such as in the pier gap. Therefore, the retaining body in each vortex flowmeter is located in the center of the pipeline. When the flow rate reaches the specified value, a vortex is formed behind the retaining body, and the vortex is separated from the fluid and transmitted to the downstream pipeline.
The vortex frequency is proportional to the average velocity, that is, to the volume flow. The vortices separated from both sides of the retaining body alternately generate positive pressure and negative pressure. The capacitive sensor detects the pressure, generates electrical signals and converts them into digital linear signals for transmission to electronic components.
